Let's get a head start on 2018 resolutions!

Come As You Are.  Regain strength, stamina and vitality.
YOU are ALREADY Amazing. It's true - even if you don't feel that way right now.

Sometimes it takes a little sweat, support, and a LOT of fun to make you FEEL that way!

Because as a Wonder Woman, you are always performing amazing balancing acts between a busy and demanding work, family and social life.

Rarely do we make the time to put ourselves first.
With the holiday season upon us, are there any family get togethers planned? Perhaps a holiday party or two to attend? Have you caught yourself thinking about how you're going to look in the pictures?

Wish you had energy like you used to have? Hmm...

Is there still a lot of shopping to be done and grandkids to pay with, and you're wondering if you have the needed strength and stamina?

Or are you already thinking about those 2017 resolutions from last January - the ones about losing some weight and getting fit - that will be on your list again?

If you answered "yes" - well, that’s exactly why I want to invite you to join our Fit For Life program here at Pacific Heights Health Club.

Fit For Life is a step-by-step 12-Week Transformation program for women that includes clean healthy eating, fat-burning workouts, and daily inspiration to help you feel FABULOUS, look AMAZING & have the strength and confidence to handle any situation that comes your way.

Seriously...

Do you want to lose 30-50 lbs or more?  And how long have you been thinking about this?

Hmm... And getting fit and healthier was one of your top three 2017 New Year's Resolutions - right?  So what's kept you from achieving your goals?

Have you tried dieting to lose weight - depriving yourself of your favorite foods - only to gain back the weight and then some?

Do you find working out tedious and boring?  Think you lack motivation? Don't really know what to do besides cardio?  And did you stop seeing progress after about 2-3 weeks?

Does everything go out the window when you're travelling?  Or when you get stressed or simply too busy?

I'm guessing there's no one to remind you that all great achievements take time AND to give you a high five for every time you actually worked out when you were so tempted to skip it after a long day.

So what if...

Taking care of yourself is the best thing you can do for your family because it means you'll have more to give and the energy to do the things you want - because you'll be strong, sharp and fit  - and modeling great behavior for your kids to follow.

What if the key to losing weight - really it's unwanted fat - is not dieting but regaining lost muscle, which means it's not just about moving more, it's about strength training.

What if you had your own fitness expert working with you to make sure you were doing the right strength training exercises for your body?

What if you only had to work out for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week to see amazing results?

What if you found a group of happy fitness-minded women who also supported you and made working out fun?

And what if that same fitness professional provided you with quick 10-minute video workouts that you could do in your hotel room while you're traveling or on vacation to make sure you don't lose all the progress you've made?

Would that help?

These are exactly the reasons why the Fit For Life 12-week program will make all the difference in the world. Think of it as your entry point into Lifestyles of the Fit & Fabulous.

Here's how our Fit For Life program works.
STEP 1
Know your WHY and then Create SMART Goals

We start with creating a positive mindset and an "unbreakable" motivation.  Then we'll work with you to establish specific and attainable goals with specific deadlines.  These will give you laser-like focus to reach your goals.  Even your biggest critic will be impressed by the remarkable progress you make.

STEP 2
Commit to at least 2, preferably 3 Training Sessions a Week

We specialize in small group personal training, which means you're always working out with a personal trainer who has customized the workout for your individual goals and needs. Each session usually has 3-5 clients - with a limit of 6. This means, in addition to the trainer, you'll also have the support of new friends during your workouts... because misery loves company!  ;-)

Each of our custom workouts lasts only 30 minutes which means they are safe, fast, effective and will fit the busiest of schedules.

In addition to fat burning, these sessions will strengthen your core, regain muscle, improve your balance, and increase your stamina.  PLUS they will leave you feeling energized each time you leave.

STEP 3
Create New & Healthy Eating Habits

Who says healthy eating has to be confusing or tasteless?

We'll work with you to identify the obstacles preventing you from making the breakthrough in your diet and create new healthy eating habits that will fuel your body with the nutrients it wants and needs.

Say goodbye to quick-fix diets and cravings.  Say hello to healthy choices and tons of energy!

What Makes This Program So Different?
We know what you are thinking right now...

"What makes Fit For Life different from all of the other fitness "noise" that is showing up in my Facebook newsfeed and inbox?"

That's a great question.

Bottom line... we are the only health club in San Francisco that specializes in training boomers and seniors for active aging.  This means focusing on functional movement, educating our clients and supporting healthy lifestyle habits (not quick fixes).  Plus we will offer you results or your money back.  Not to mention a fun and supportive environment that will help ease some of the "nerves" and intimidation when trying something new.

What else?
Our Small Group Training format.
There are clearly many pathways to fitness.  The biggest benefits of private sessions are accountability, scheduling and exercise knowledge. Group fitness classes are another popular path and many of the club's members have experienced great results going to our Pilates mat, H.I.I.T., cardio core and hardcore burn classes.

I believe that Small Group Training, where three to six clients work with a trainer, is the best of both worlds.  Here's why:
Support and Accountability.  With small group training, you get the added benefit of motivation from both your peers and the trainer.  In classes, the group of “regulars” that attend creates some accountability, but it is more easily broken compared to that of working with a trainer and a few others in a small group who quickly become friends.
Fun!  There is more energy in a group setting, camaraderie and even a little bit of good, old-fashioned competition. It’s just human nature that if the person next to you is giving an all out effort, you are more likely to do the same.  Just this past week, I watched as one member of the group asked others to join him in taking a Pilates Fusion class the followed a training session, and then there were three!
Personalized.   In a group fitness class, the teacher instructs and the students follow.  It's basically choreographed so that the entire group more or less is doing the same thing.  On the other hand, in a small group personal training session, clients will often be performing different exercises together at their own rate of speed, intensity, and ability because the workouts are tailored for their personal goals and fitness level.
Challenge and Progression.  Unlike classes, with small group training, we always know about the client's health history and are able to provide proper modifications to work around injuries and joint issues whether permanent or temporary. In regards to your fitness program, our trainers will continue to challenge you in areas where there may be weaknesses and they can provide proper and challenging programs (it may be that no two workouts will be the same) to make sure that you are constantly progressing and improving.
Affordable.  The cost associated with private personal training is often a factor.  The national average is $50 -$75 per hour, where rates of $120-180 per hour are fairly common here in San Francisco.  Our small group training sessions are just $35-50 for 30 minutes versus an hour, which allows for the frequency needed to make a difference.  It also makes working with our trainers very time efficient.
Check out the chart below that summarizes why we are different and why our programs work so well.
Hi I'm Amy, and I'm the owner and chief motivating officer of Pacific Heights Health Club.  The folks below are my wonderful parents in San Diego where we celebrated Christmas last December.  Both of them are in their late seventies and enjoying their golden years.  They truly are my inspiration.
Since 2004, the team here at Pacific Heights Health Club has been running the fitness programs responsible for helping dozens and dozens of people, just like you.

In fact, as you can see our clients are pretty darn happy with their fitness and fat loss results.

And what they're even happier about is how much better they feel, how much more energy they have and how much stronger they are now.

How can I get a hold of you if I have a question?
You can call us at (415) 563-6694 or email us.
What if I'm going to be on vacation for 2-3 weeks in the middle of the program?
This is exactly why we have online workout videos and why the program is 12 weeks long.  We're working with you to create healthy lifestyle habits.  A new habit takes a minimum of 21 days to establish - like creating a groove.  The longer we work with you, the deeper the groove.  The online videos are designed for workouts in hotel rooms where little to no equipment is required and will help you maintain the progress you've made.
What's the difference between this and group fitness classes?
Our small group training sessions are led by nationally certified personal trainers and typically have 3-5 clients with a max of 6.  Unlike classes led by an instructor, the fitness program for each of your workouts is designed to meet your specific individual health and fitness goals.

Our most successful clients have training sessions 2-3 times a week.
